"With a sound as classic as the crackling of a Sun Records vinyl still spinning somewhere in Memphis, yet as fresh as the musical stylings of the 21st century, Jared Petteys & The Headliners are busy making waves with their genre-bending brand of tunes. Reminiscent of the vibrant heyday of rock n roll music, the band finds their origins in the styles of classic country, rockabilly, and blues all the while ushering in a new era of rock-and-roll that is as distinctive as the men who form it. Born in the marshes of coastal South Carolina, Jared Petteys (lead vocals/guitar), Stephen Palmer (upright bass), and Russell Lee (drums/backing vocals), blended their unique individualities and influences together to create a band with a rare sincerity that is not often seen in today’s industry. They have spent the past five years cutting their teeth in the South Eastern music scene while simultaneously running the roads discovering who they are and where they belong in the world as they plant roots in towns big and small across the country by burning down every stage they step on. Their high-energy, emotive stage presence is as lively as their melodies."
Coming hot off the heels of major festival appearances, such as Hot Rod Rock & Rumble, Rockabillaque, and Steel In Motion where they have quickly become known as a fan favorite, Jared Petteys & The Headliners have found success by sharing stages with iconic acts like Reverend Horton Heat, Lee Rocker of Stray Cats and Wayne "The Train" Hancock as well as booking upcoming dates alongside some admirable company—namely, Hillbilly Casino. Solidifying their status as bona fide road warriors, the band has honed their sound by way of paying their dues in dives and little venues around the United States all the while fostering relationships in the course of wowing audiences, ultimately gaining momentum propelling them towards larger stages in anticipation of releasing their newest EP, Shake A Little, in 2023. Quickly gaining traction after their formation in 2018 after accolades such as Top Finalist in the world wide songwriting competition Rockabilly Rumble, Gretsch Guitar's Spotlight Artist Of The Month in 2021, and Best Local Band 2020 & 2022 nomination by the Charleston City Paper. Furthermore they are a band on a mission, to save American roots rock n roll music and deliver it to the next generation.
"It's a really great track. That's a song at first listen that will really get a crowd going. Well done. If there is a band that sounds like this, I don't know them. A lot of great elements that will resonate to a lot of people who like rock n roll."

Bucky Heard - The Righteous Brothers (Billy Rockabilly 2022)
“Undoubtedly, one of the few good things to emerge in the year 2020 is the new debut album from Jared Petteys and The Headliners, titled, “I Ain’t Waitin.” Crisp and twangy guitars abound throughout this recording, from the bouncy opener, “Georgia Bound,” to the show closer, “Wasted.” Petteys manages to take any and all listeners on an energetic romp through the heartland. Also on display is some great songwriting talent. Stories are cranked out in bopping rockabilly fashion, mixed in with some blues-tinged guitar workouts. This is a disc which will take you away from the daily madness, and it’s well worth listening to again and again.”
Mike Lynam - Run Wild Records (I Ain't Waiting 2020)
